Help! Do I have to use different colored tags? No, you no longer have to use different colored tags.

I have tagged more than 150 items, but I told you less ~ Do I need
to change my dropoff date and time?
No, your original appointment date and time is fine.

How do I Price? General guideline is 1 /4 to 1/3 of the original sales price. Items in excellent condition and name brands can sell for more than items of lesser quality. Remember, items must be in good condition to be in the sale. Shoes need to be in top quality and generally are priced less than clothing (about 20%-35%).  Popular, quality toys such as Little Tikes, Step Two, Perego, Brio, etc. can be priced more.  Hard to find items such as double strollers can also be priced more. If in doubt, ask us at checkin.   We can tell you what similiar items have sold for. When pricing, ask yourself, "Would I buy this for $xx.xx?"  If you know the currently retail price for your item, write this on the tag in the description area.  If the item is not longer available, try writing 'paid $xx.xx for new' on the tag.

How do I tag multiple pieces? Please tag each piece and label the tag as '1 of 3', ' 2 of 3' etc as
applies.  Please write the price only on tag 1.  Please write 'see tag 1' for the price on the other tags.

Can I use my Computer to make tags? Since our new tags have the barcodes on them, it may be difficult for you to try to create them on your own computer.   We have made the process simple so you can print them right from our website for any prices you would like.

Do clothes sell well? YES! This is the place to sell your kids clothes! At our Spring events, many of our sellers sold an average of 90-95% of what they brought us!  Larger size kids clothing sells extremely well!  If you are selling smaller sizes, try selling them as an outfit.  Can't figure out what to do with all those socks? Pin them on the outfit! Remember those hairbows and hats too!  Accessorize!

Do toys sell? YES! Incredibly fast too!  We get tons and tons and tons (can you tell we really get alot?) of toys! We usually have about 80 long folding tables filled with books, toys, videos, linens, and other misc. kids items!  It is incredible!  Please make sure that you clean the outdoor toys too.  Our fall sale is a popular time to sell items that would be great to be used as gifts for the holidays.

Can I shop at the preview? Yes! Only if you are a seller.  We don't torment you by only letting you look, you get to shop too!  The "in" containers are trashcans with handles and wheels and laundry baskets with with ropes tied to them as handles. Since they get too much stuff in them to pick up, the ropes seem to help.   Also great are those wonderful lightweight folding containers with handleds that are often used as laundry bins.  Teens/tweens of sellers may shop at 6pm in the Teen Sizes Area only.

Can I bring my child to preview? Sorry, but children(including infants) are permitted at the sale only after 2pm on Tuesday and anytime on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Make a fun night of it by getting your friends to sell with you. Come early (sellers line up in advance), bring some coffee (iced coffee in August)  and have fun talking with other parents. Others go out after the sale and relax.  Several of our sellers consider this one of their favorite nights of the year!   We have even heard of people ordering pizza while in line for the preview!  Can't shop as well on an empty stomach! If you are the parent of a teen or tween that wants to shop the Teen clothing preview night, please see Jeri Lynn or Tina during your drop off for a special preview ticket that will allow them during special shopping times Monday night.

Can I bring my spouse, Mom, etc. to preview? Sorry, but only one preview ticket per seller. If  you are very pregnant and need help, please speak with us at checkin to see how we can help you with shopping.

Is  there a limit on the number of items I can bring to sell? No, we have tons of room! If you can bring it to us, we will find room to put it in the sale.

What if I have more items to bring than I told you I was going to when I sent in my appointment request? Don't worry!  Go ahead and bring whatever amount you can tag.  We only ask that if you find you have more than 250 items, please let us know so we can try to move you to an earlier drop off time.  We are sorry, we will be unable to move your time closer to the sale date (less than 10 days prior to the sale).

Do you sell Junior or adult clothing?  We are as selective with teen clothing as we are with the kids' clothing.  There will not be any dressing rooms available.   No one will be allowed to try on clothing in the bathrooms. No adult clothing other than juniors will be accepted.  Junior clothing must be in style and meet our normal consignment standards.  Our sellers shop at the greatest places as seen by the high amount of brand names that are present!

Do I have to use the tag form sheet? Yes, we need barcoded standard tags to make sure we are able to sort your tags quickly. We cut the tags off at checkout to make checkout go faster, so we need to make sure they are all the same.

Can I use staples? No, only normal size safety pins. No small gold pins please. They do not hold up well and break easily.   Please, please, please do not use straight pins! Ouch! Items secured with small gold pins, staples, or straight pins will be returned.

Where can I find hangers? Try friends, family, neighbors, or your local dry cleaners.  I have heard lately that dry cleaners are now selling their recycled hangers(the ones people return to them for recycling) instead of giving them away.   If you run across this, try another dry cleaner.   You may use plastic hangers, but please try to avoid the ones that can snap.  These often break due to the vigorous shopping.

What is my seller code? The last 4 digits of your phone number or your previously assigned number. If your phone number begins with a zero, your code may show up on the tags without the leading zeros. Example: 0038
should be written as 0038 instead of 38.

How do I hang an outfit? Together on the same hanger. Pin the pants on the back of the top using safety pins at top of hanger.

Can I help? We have a list of people who have indicated they would like to help at the sale. If interested, please send us an email at kidsignments@mindspring.com and ask to have your name added.  We do not  have a large number of helpers and we make sure our helpers are shopping for different sizes.  This insures a great selection for everyone. Please do not be too disappointed if we do not call on you to help at the next event after you email your interest.  We will keep your information of file for future events if we do not have any openings at the next event.  Our previous helpers are given first choice and they usually all return.  However, sometimes they move away or some other event arises that keeps them from helping.

Where do I drop my items off? The Gwinnett County Fairgrounds at the sale buildings.

What is my seller's share of the sale price? You will receive 70% of the amount for your items that sold.   Beginning Fall 2006 (August sale), an additional $10.00  fee will be charged to help cover the increasing additional overhead expenses of the sale.

How do I get entered in the preview night drawing?   Every seller (for that current sale) will have their name entered in the drawing!  Your drawing entry will be your self addressed stamped envelope so make sure to bring it to your drop off appointment!

What are the seller prizes? On preview night at 5:45pm (preview starts at 6pm), we will draw cards out of the box to determine who will get shopping credit at the sale. Shopping credits given away will be:

(1)    $50 shopping credit

(2)    $25 shopping credit

(2)    $10 shopping credit

(5)     No wait checkout for preview sale only!

(1)     First place in line for preview night!

In addition to the shopping credits, we will have a drawing for the first place in line on preview night!   If your name is drawn for a credit and you are not present,   the credit will be applied toward your consignment fee. If the winner of the first place in line is not present when we open the door at 6pm, a new name will be drawn.  The credits are not redeemable for cash.

In addition to the above,  I have been promised some additional prizes.

How do I sell my books?   Some sellers chose to bundle books of the same type or reading levels in ziploc type bags(sealed with tape) and price them as a group. Other sellers individually tag each book.  Don't forget the books with tapes too!   When placing them on the sales floor, please try to make sure to put them in the most appropiate boxes so they have the best chance of selling.

How do I sell blankets, sheets and other linens?    Most buyers want to be able to inspect the items to make sure they are in great shape. Unless the item can clearly show its true condition through the ziploc bag, try hanging the item on a hanger. Putting them in  ziploc type bags is fine, but make sure that the buyer can clearly see all the contents.

Should I assemble my crib?   Definitely! Yes! Furniture sells much better if it is put together. The seller is able to see that it is complete and what it looks like.  This is why we ask that you either bring the items assembled or assemble them at the sale location.

What type of furniture do you accept?   We accept cribs, changing tables, day beds, youth beds, kids twin beds, bunk beds, kids dressers, toyboxes, rocking chairs(adult and kids), and any other item that a baby or child would use.

Can I use my seller code from the last sale?   If you sold in the previous sale, I have reserved your seller code for you but this does not guarantee you a spot to sell. You still must request a seller drop off appointment after registration begins.  Your code will remain assigned to you unless you do not sell with us for two consecutive sales.  If you were assigned a code different from your last four digits of your phone due to a duplicate code or other reason, this code will also remain your code.  If you change your phone number, you can change your code if you like, or you can keep your code.  We are flexible.  We are just trying to provide you with a easy to remember your code that is unique.

Do I have to make an appointment to drop off my items?   Yes, due to the large amount of sellers that we have, the only way we can check in everyone in such a short time is by scheduling them evenly.  We also need to make sure that you are using a unique seller code.   We have a limit of 1,000 sellers.  Once we reach this limit, we will no longer accept appointments.  We will have a waiting list in case of any cancellations. Click here for our registration page

**   You must have a confirmed appointment in order to receive your barcoded tag link and sell with us.

Why a  fee?   In lieu of raising our consignment percentage to cover the additional fees associated with the additional costs of doing this sale, we are now deducting a $10.00 fee from your seller's commission check to help with the additional costs.   The rent at the fairgrounds doubled in 2003 and increased again when they added a/c (we love the a/c) but we did not increase any of our fees or the consignment percentage due to this.   The increased rent, mailing fees, security costs,  a/c fee, advertising and other fees have all contributed to the increase in the fee.

Why are children/babies and strollers/carriers not allowed until after 2 pm on Tuesday? The first day of the sale is extremely busy and crowded.  For your and your child(ren)'s safely, we are not allowing children, babies, carriers or strollers into the building until after 2pm on the first day of the sale(Tuesday). There is no restriction on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday. We apologize for any inconvience that this may cause you, but this is necessary for safey reasons.  We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
